Soup Stock! Again!

Let's revisit Soup Stocks!

REF: http://weaningyourlittleones.blogspot.sg/2012/08/porridge.html

Soup stocks make naturally healthy and yummy tasting bases for cooking so that we need not add seasonings or artificial flavours into baby's food.

It is difficult to be cooking a small quantity of soup stock. Thus, we normally batch cook. Cook up a large pot to maximize ingredient usage and also gas!

This is how Mummy Fiona stores the soup stock:

Soup Stock in Baby One Breast Milk Bags!
Order here: www.thelittleonesinmylife.com.sg

The soup stock in the picture is vegetable soup stock. The natural goodness is all in the stock!

Don't waste the vegetables. Mash them and feed them or freeze them for later. :)
If you have a dog at home, they'll love the additional treat if there's too much for you to store. :)

Feeding my 13.5 month old in KL!

Firstly, I want to introduce the lovely finds I got from Sri Kota supermarket in KL (near the condominium we stayed in).

Organic Five Fruits Noodles!
The ingredients are fresh fruit! Very interesting!

Organic Carrot Noodles!
I was very very amazed! Why don't we have such wonderful products in Singapore?
Organic INSTANT Baby Oats
I've been searching for this in Singapore for ages!
Yeah Baby! We finally got our hands on it! Stocked up 2 large large packs :D

One of my fave brands!
Slightly more pricey than buying from iHerb BUT definitely cheaper than in SG!

Organic Broth!
For busy mummies who don't have time to make stock!
What a yummy range!

Now, let's see the little boy eat!

Yummy blueberry pouch!
This is at one of the rest stops along the way.
All stalls selling spicy food only, so we brought out our emergency stash!

Fresh Juice! Yummy!
This is actually the elder boy's cup of juice but the younger one kept pointing and pouting!

Little Sweetheart's First Ice Cream
(Haagen Daz - Strawberry)

I WANT MORE!

And so we brought him to have ice cream again another day (banana flavour)

Now, time for my all time fave and the main reason we drove up to KL!
KOREAN BBQ! Super authentic, runned by a Korean family who cooks personally!

Can't rmb which part of the cow we ordered, but this is fantastic!
Lightly marinate (we gave little boy with rice & steamed egg)

SUPER PLUS POINT: We did not need to cook the food at all. It is all cooked right in front of us!

Pork Belly marinated with Fruit Enzyme
We gave little boy a teeny wheeny bit of this (minus the fats). YUMMY!

Ahhhhh..... Looking at this just makes me drool...
Chicken Bulgogi!
Both my boys love this!

Steamed Egg :)

Enjoying the meal like a king!

Just look at that super satisfied face!
To keep him occupied, we gave him some salad to munch on while we tucked in.

Now, we got bored...
And he was trying to grab some food...
And we thought, HEY! Why not try some CHILLI?

And so.... He licked the chilli! Raw Cut Chilli!

No crying *unlike the elder one who cried and screamed*
He seemed to like it cos he reached forward for more after drinking water!

Dim Sum breakfast...

This is steamed Yam Bun.
We didn't give the yam, just the bun.
Too cute!

At Old Town White Coffee...

Some non-salted fries for entertainment...

Most meals that he didn't eat out due to timing issues, he has something like this...
Porridge/rice (we cooked using the rice cooker in the condo) with shredded meat
(steamed in rice cooker while cooking rice) and pureed vegetables (bottles & pouches)

And our last dinner in KL...

Uncle Monster on the last day!
Crying badly as there was no more bak kut teh left for him! LOL!

Ordered Old Cucumber Soup for little boy.
He had the meat (shredded), the old cucumber & rice.
We had all the BKT!

We're back & we survived!

We're back!
I will share more details and photos when I finish clearing my back log of emails!

The younger one mainly survived on:
Porridge/rice mixed with shredded meat & bottled food
Cereal & pouched purees
Not so tasty street/restaurant food (YES! WE FED HIM OUTSIDE FOOD FOR THE 1ST TIME!)
Oh! And the little boy had his first taste of ice cream! Freshly made with fresh bananas as flavouring! YUMMY!
